The Jerusalem Mar Thoma Syrian Church choir plays an important and pivotal role in the church worship by leading the singing ministry of the church.

The Jerusalem Mar Thoma church choir is headed by the Vicars as with any other organization of the church. The day-to-day activities of the choir is supervised by the Executive Committee consisting of Vice President (Lay), Secretary, Treasurer, Committee Members. The responsibility of teaching music and conducting the choir rests with the Choir Master and Choir Leaders.

The choir is 42 member strong and has members from all age groups gracing its seats. United in a passion to sing and glorify God, they take time out for practising, singing and assisting the Sunday worships with their melodious voices. The choir presents classical, semi-classical, Western and maramon convention songs during the services and special numbers during functions of the Church like Parish Day, Christmas, Passion Week etc. Their commitment to learn new songs and perfect it makes them one of the leading choirs of Delhi Churches.

Choir Sunday

A Choir Sunday is observed every year when the choristers dedicate themselves during the Holy Communion service.

Christmas Carols

Christmas is the season when the choir comes out with the best of its spirit and they get together to practice and present some beautiful and melodious Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve to proclaim the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. They have been privileged to sing Christmas Carols at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the official residence of the President of India, as also in front of some of the country's most promising leaders and politicians. The choir has also intermittently been featured in the visual and print media of both local and national sphere.
