The Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church Sunday School caters to Christian education of young minds from the age of 5 to 18. Divided into various age groups, the Sunday School offers various avenues of studying the fundamental principles of Bible and Christian living. It offers a sound grounding on the faith and practises of the Mar Thoma Church and is considered essential learning before being initiated as a full communicant member of the church. The Parish has put into place a transportation arrangement for children residing in far-flung areas of the parish in order to bring every child to Christ. Other than routine Sunday School lessons, our children participate in Camps and intra and inter Church competitions with great spirit. The annual VBS and Christmas programmes are also immensely popular. Currenty, the Sunday School has a strength of 200 children and 25 teachers.
The Yuvajana Sakhyam is the crucible that forges future leaders. From pursuing spiritual growth with missionary zeal to tackling tough youth and social issues through monthly meetings, cottage prayers, camps and competitions, the Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church Yuvajana Sakhyam lives up to the Sakhyam motto of Worship, Study, Witness and Service. The Wardha Mission, probably the only mission field that is founded and run by a parish Yuvajana Sakhyam in the whole of the Mar Thoma Church, continnues to bear witness to the zeal and drive of each and every member of the Yuvajana Sakhyam in living up to the motto.
Music has an important place in the Mar Thoma Church traditions and worship. Our parish Choir has been assisting and making the Sunday Church Worship more meaningful since its inception. The Christmas Carol Service held on Christmas Eve every year is eagerly awaited by one and all. Besides these, our Choir has won several accolades in the various competitions that are held in the capital every year and is a valuable contributor to the "Gloria in Excelsis" outreach Christmas Programme of the diocese. The choir takes pride in the fact that they have performed in front of past Presidents, Prime Minister and various other political and cultural dignitaries on different religious and cultural events.
The Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church Sevika Sangham as the Women's Fellowship has been a dynamic and vibrant contributor to the parish and its activities. It has emerged as a significant participant in the Church Ministry. The activities of the Sevika Sangham are as diverse as its members, ranging from decoration of the altar, conducting regular Bible Studies, organizing Bring-n-Buy sales to setting up and establishing the Shalom Niwas Working Women's Hostel. Their contribution to hosting and participating in different diocesan activities is appreciated by one and all.
The Edavaka Mission of the parish is aimed at empowering the members of the church to be effective witnesses in social milieus in which they live. It equips the members to relate the Word with the world. Bible studies, workshops, Lay Training institutes, intercessory prayers, convention meetings are some of the major events of the same. Various Mission visits are also organised by the Edavaka Mission team of Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church. Our Edavaka mission very actively participates in all 5th Sunday programmes organized by Delhi Centre Edavaka Mission.
