Sunday School Mission

The Sunday School is committed to make available all possible assistance to the children to help them

- Develop an understanding of Bible.
- Understand that God has a plan for each of them.
- Lead our children to a personal commitment to follow Jesus.
- Learn to worship our Lord through singing and praying.


Sunday school classes are held and scheduled as per the guidelines issued by the Sunday School Samajam.


The Parish has put into place a transportation arrangement for children residing in far-flung areas of the parish in order to bring every child to Christ. Other than routine Sunday School lessons, our children participate in Camps and intra and inter Church competitions with great spirit. The annual VBS and Christmas programmes are also immensely popular. Currenty, the Sunday School has a strength of 200 children and 25 teachers.

Nursery - 1 section
Beginners - 2 sections
Primary - 3 sections
Juniors - 3 sections
Intermediate - 4 sections
Seniors - 4 sections
Young Adults - 3 sections

The Annual examination is conducted oin November/December every year. The Sunday School Samajam question papers are used to evaluate the children's growth and development each year.

Jerusalem Mar Thoma church has a a very active Sunday School with approx 200 students enrolled. Children are our greatest blessings from God. It is our collective responsibility as parents and teachers to ensure that our children seek knowledge and wisdom from scriptures and grow in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sunday School Teachers


 

A team of 25 strong and committed Sunday School Teachers train the children who assemble each sunday at the church for the Sunday School.

Christmas Programs


Every year, Christmas brings in a new cheer in the life of a Sunday School Student when they actively participate in showing off their talents and put together beautiful programs for the congregation - be it nativity scenes, action songs or the junior choir singing Christmas carols.


 

Vacation Bible School


 

Vacation Bible School is a fun-filled 4-5 day program that the church organizes every year during the winter or mid-term vacation to connect with children and educate them about the love of God. Each year.
The Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church hosts VBS for over 100 children and trained VBS leaders are called from different parts of the country to lead the sessions

Camps and Residential Programs


 

Students and Teachers from Jerusalem Mar Thoma church participate in the Delhi Centre Sunday School Camp organized every year for all the Sunday School students of the Delhi centre. Our students and teachers participate in all the programs and have won many competitions organized at the Centre level.

Sunday School Classes


Sunday School Classes are conducted regularly at church premises every Sunday between 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. in the morning before Church Worship and 8:30 to 9:30 during winter season (Nov to Mar).
