The Yuvajana Sakhyam of Jerusalem Mar Thoma church is a vibrant community with approx 200 registered youth members. The Jerusalem Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam is the parish unit of the Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam - the Youth department of Mar Thoma Church located at Tiruvalla. The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was established in 1933 and promotes the four fold programme of Worship, Study, Witness and Service, with a view that all the young people in the Church should accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and saviour, and bear witness to His salvation.
The Jerusalem Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam (JMYS) is a group of spakly youngsters who get together and organize programs that promote the four-fold programs in an atmosphere of fellowship, love and care amongst the group and also spread the love and kindness of Jesus to people from different walks of life. It provides a dynamic platform that helps showcase the innate talent of the young members and also sharpen their skills. The Sakhyam provides a blessed opportunity for its constituents to understand social bindings in all its hues while simultaneously getting them ready for facing the pressures of life.
The Wardha Misson is the outward expression of the missionary zeal of the Jerusalem youths. Begun in 1989 by a committed group of young believers, the mission today stands testimony to the fact that the Lord is ever faithful. The mission outreach has spread its reach far and wide in and around the town of Wardha and is an inalienable part of the psyche of Wardha. Led by Rev. Noble Abraham, the asstt. vicar of the Church, the mission continues to offer hope and salvation to thousands. The mission hosts a school in its premises and, God-willing, hopes to enhance its offerings by moving to a better and larger premises in the not-too-distant future.
